CurrentAdvise the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service concerning their management of National Wildlife Refuges and protected species in Alaska. Areas of focus include ESA Section 7 consultation, MMPA incidental take authorizations and enforcement actions, NEPA reviews, ANILCA access, APA rule making, and permitting of hunting guides, fishing guides, and air transporters in Refuges. Assist DOJ with defensive and affirmative litigation. Represent agency in formal and informal administrative hearings and administrative appeals. Negotiate co-management and cooperative management agreements. Serve as Special Assistant U.S. Attorney to prosecute minor violations occurring in Parks and Refuges.
