I am a freelance food, travel, and culture writer based out of Mexico City, formerly based in Mumbai, India.My work ranges from quick round-ups of restaurant and travel news to longform essays exploring history, politics, and economics through the lens of food, music, architecture, and design. I am an Associate Editor at Roads & Kingdoms and my work has appeared publications that include The New York Times, T Magazine, The Washington Post, Condé Nast Traveller UK, Travel + Leisure, Lucky Peach, The Believer, Eater, Saveur, The Art of Eating, The Atlantic Cities (now City Lab), Slate, and Monocle, as well as Indian publications that include The Caravan, Open, Condé Nast Traveller, GQ, Architectural Digest, The Times of India, The Hindu, Mint, and Indian Quarterly. Before moving to India, I worked from August 2010-11 as a Spanish-to-English translator, writer, and editor at Thisischile.cl, reporting on food, travel and culture news from across Chile with a base in Santiago. In this position, I wrote, edited, reported, and translated anywhere from three to five stories each day.I graduated Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude, and with English departmental honors from Columbia University in 2010.
