I was a 7th grade Social Studies, ELA, and Religion teacher. From May 2011 to May 2013, I was also a full-time graduate student in the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Program at the University of Notre Dame. In June and July 2013, I also taught 4th and 5th grade Math and ELA in a summer enrichment program geared towards project-based learning. During our school's WASC accreditation year, I chaired our internal organization committee, as well. I was involved in many activities outside the classroom - I designed the school's annual Geography Bee and Game Day programs, moderated a math enrichment program at a nearby community college, and provided weekly tutoring for 7th and 8th graders through the school's 21st Century Program.I also coached boy's basketball - 7th grade (2011-2012) and 8th grade (2012-2014) - during these three years. During the winter, I coordinated a school running program in collaboration with Running for a Better Oakland and the Oakland Running Festival 5K Race.

Aim High St. Louis is a summer enrichment program for inner-city middle school students located at the campuses of Saint Louis Priory and John Burroughs. Through this role, I assisted in the program's operations and collaborated with the Co-Directors and Executive Director.My other responsibilities included coordinating the annual program events (such as Field Trip Day, Career Day, Open House, and Game Day), moderating the daily duties of the teacher assistants and high school volunteers, and conducting a leadership retreat for them. Prior to holding this role, I was a teacher assistant in the 9th grade math classroom.
