I am an experienced medical writer and media producer who helps solve internal and external communications problems, or enhances ongoing marketing/PR efforts. As an experienced ad agency writer, Web content specialist, CME physician educator, magazine journalist and medical center media director, my strengths lie in video scripting and production, as well as developing strategic branding concepts for print and the Web. I am particularly adept at writing video and multimedia programs for physicians and healthcare consumers, as well as white papers ands collateral material and often oversee design . I often team with videographers and other creatives to develop outstanding product for clients in health, medicine, technology and the arts. My experience permits me to create product in a short time by maximizing internal resources and employing the best external creative talent when necessary. A 25 minute science video I wrote on human hemodynamics won the Academy of Medical Film "Best in Category" and a national medical student recruitment video won the bronze Telly for co-production. All told, my physician education video scripting, promotional scriptwriting projects, and direct to consumer writing total more than 300 video scripts and collateral materials. My direct-to-consumer writing experience includes Web content for Discovery Health, Gilda's Club, Merck, Mount Sinai, Brookdale Center on Aging (fundraising), Sanofi, and Pfizer. My scripting for industrials and physician education is extensive. I am currently a feature writer for several magazines, and am a contributor to the New York Journal of Books.
