Mr. Stephan specializes in the utilization of CAE applications for the creation of computerized renderings and animations in the engineering field. By developing accurate three-dimensional computer models of a project, and with the aid of visualization software, he is able to provide realistic visual simulations of proposed facilities or alternative site considerations, as well as develop renderings of proposed projects and fly/drive thru animations. The type of presentation produced as a result of this simulation has been used in visual impact and assessment for environmental documentation, to clarify design issues, identify spatial conflicts, display mitigation alternatives for design selection or to the public sector, display viewpoint analysis of landscaping alternatives, and for display in proposals, reports, studies, drawing sets. Mr. Stephan's technical activities typically involve retrieving design data from engineering documents, files, sketches, photographs, GIS and Google Earth, then coordinating design, developing 3D models of project facilities, extracting terrain information from project design, producing renderings and photo-simulations of proposed project with existing conditions photos, producing animated clips, demonstrating simulations, and coordinating technical and output activities.
