With now over 40 years in the business of professional entertainment, Michael has seen a lot. He has worked as tour manager, production manager, FOH engineer, monitor engineer, backline technician, (guitars, pianos, Hammond organs, keyboard synths and drums), lighting designer, truck driver, bus driver, tour accountant and even merchandise seller. I have been involved with this band off and on since 1986. Last year, 2019, the band toured the world celebrating their 40th Anniversary. This year, the band will release yet another CD thanks to SPV Records and will be touring the world once again starting in March 2020.

This iconic club in Oakland has been producing shows seven days a week for over 40 years. On tour with many of my jazz artists, this was a regular stop and one of our favorite venues. Since moving to Jack London Square from the original club on Claremont Avenue, the Bar, Restaurant and Showroom have seen amazing shows every day of the week. Averaging 10 shows a week at the club, you will find me there on occasion as I am only a "fill-in" member of the production staff. Tommy Igoe is a world famous jazz drummer and bandleader. He spent years in New York leading the Birdland Big Band before moving to California and building his "Groove Conspiracy" band. However, this band was dubbed "the ultimate tribute to Journey" by Greg Kihn on his radio show and endorsed by Neal Schon and Gregg Rolie of the original Journey band. This band does not go out and wear costumes and try to act like Journey onstage. Instead, this band performs a tribute to the MUSIC of Journey and pays homage to this great touring band from the Bay Area. "Evolution" can perform a full two and a half hour headlining set that includes all of the Journey hits starting when Steve Parry joined the band for the "Invinity" recordings.
