As a member of the AF/EAP Team within DRL/SHR (Department of State), I conducted investigations and analysis to facilitate Leahy vetting of foreign partner security forces.

I served as an operations manager for humanitarian relief operations and logistics. I worked collaboratively with stakeholders from different departments and agencies, troubleshooting issues and solving problems as they arose, and provided daily site reporting and communications back to New York City Emergency Management leadership.

The project is funded by the Global Defense Reform Program (GDRP), which is a new defense reform capacity building program funded by the Department of State in close coordination with the Department of Defense. GDRP seeks to assist partner nations with providing security in an effective, transparent, and accountable manner to civilian authorities while advancing U.S. national security objectives.I was selected to assist the Government of Vanuatu with national security capacity building. I helped redirect the program to focus on maritime security based on the Government of Vanuatu’s needs after conducting consultations with the country’s National Security Advisor, Commissioner of Police, and other key stakeholders.

My track record of success as a strategic-level advisor led to my selection in 2021 to support the establishment of Palau's overarching national security framework. I helped with the establishment of Palau's National Security Coordination Office and the development of supporting policies and procedures.

I served as a strategic-level Advisor to the Palau Ministry of Justice and Division of Marine Law Enforcement to support the Republic of Palau's mission to conduct continuous monitoring and control operations in support of maritime security and overall maritime domain awareness. I assisted the Division of Marine Law Enforcement with professional development and helped to increase effectiveness in overall law enforcement efforts. I spearheaded the establishment of the Maritime Operations Center along with supporting policies, procedures, and resources.

I assisted start-ups, established businesses, and government agencies in a variety of ways, including strategy and policy development; research and analysis; competitive intelligence (information to drive decision-making); program and project management; stakeholder management and engagement; and crisis mitigation and response. Conceptualized and delivered on projects in Canada, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu, focusing on key areas such as crisis mitigation and response, the maritime sector, and climate adaptation projects.

As the author of Solomon Islands’ first National Security Strategy in 2018, I provided strategic guidance and support for crafting the national security framework and improving existing processes for implementing national security measures and programs. I worked in 2019 to develop and draft Solomon Islands’ first National Border Strategy.These efforts involved advising the Office of the Prime Minister, government ministries, the National Security Division, national working groups, and law enforcement agencies; engaging with stakeholders; conducting in-depth research and analysis; monitoring and reporting progress; shaping the strategy to meet the government’s needs; and helping to coordinate and implement the strategies and supporting programs.

I worked to coordinate protective security operations for the US Department of State's diplomatic mission in Afghanistan. I supervised the planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of theater-wide operations for the U.S. Embassy in Kabul. I evaluated and communicated results to a range of departments and agencies to ensure continuous improvement and project success.This role included supervising operations in the embassy’s Tactical Operations Center, allocating resources efficiently and effectively, analyzing and implementing policy, and coordinating integrated operations with the U.S. military, the Afghan government, foreign defense forces and embassies, and development agencies.Prior to serving as Operations Chief, I managed a team of security specialists to facilitate the U.S. embassy's diplomatic mission in Afghanistan. I supervised all facets of team operations, including developing standard operating procedures, planning and executing missions, designing and delivering training programs, and managing performance to ensure quality improvement.I worked in a similar capacity with the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq from 2006 to 2009.

I honorably served as a U.S. Army Infantryman, having been assigned to the 2nd Infantry Division in South Korea and the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell. I gained experience in the secondary skill set of communications as Company Communications Chief. My time with 3-187 Infantry Regiment (Rakkasans) from the 101st Airborne Division included combat deployments to Afghanistan (2002) and Iraq (2003). I received numerous commendations and awards for meritorious service and professional accomplishments.
