Having started my career in Events Co-ordination, I quickly learned the value in networking and building relationships with people across all levels and cultural backgrounds.I used these skills to secure a position overseas with a Private Luxury Yacht Recruitment Agency, where I sourced, screened and placed candidates aboard a wide portfolio of vessels all over the world. I also completed a season where I worked closely with the Interior Team in Guest Service and Housekeeping both on land and onboard. These roles often included Child Minding / Au Pairing responsibilities for the Owners / Guests. I would arrange / supervise activities, help with homework, general care (Food preparation, hygiene, etc).After having returned home, I was headhunted by Sanlam, the largest Insurance Franchise in South Africa, where I held the position of Management Support Assistant. This role put me at the forefront of not only their Recruitment Strategy, but their Business Development Strategy as well.Both these roles had me working alongside the Managing Directors of the respective companies, which gave me a unique insight into an Executive’s perspective on Operations.After having occupied that position for 2 years, I moved over to an Operational Role with Discovery, another large Insurance Company. I was tasked with growing the footprint of the business’ regional presence. I managed my own team within various sectors of the business (Admin, Sales, Marketing etc). I collated efforts across these departments to ensure that the business operates leanly, efficiently, and profitably. I assisted in placing over 47 Financial Advisors (Sales), 10 Support Agents (Admin) and numerous Telemarketers (Marketing).I currently hold the title of Property Manager for a Short Term Rental Market Leader where I hold a portfolio of 40+ luxury Properties throughout Cape Town, South Africa.Throughout my career, I have always searched for and thrived in roles where I have had the freedom to formulate and implement my own “Blueprint for Success”.Being respectful, courteous, loyal and committed to teamwork, I am ready and prepared for any opportunity.
