I am passionate about the developmental issues of the 21st century. I have an academic background in economics and development economics. Volunteering with charities in the development sector has taught me the nuances and sensitivities when working for the poor and vulnerable. Additionally, I learnt the importance of bottom-up initiatives for development. My own experiences in India have taught me the need of contextualizing policies and debates in local needs. My degree at the London School of Economics has equipped me with an understanding of the discourses in development and policy issues around developing countries. In particular, modules in microeconomic and macroeconomic development policy analysis at LSE helped deepen my interest and understanding of discussions around inequality, poverty and sustainable development. I look forward to contributing to organizations in the development sector, working towards bridging the gap between equity and sustainability.
