Responsibilities and Key Achievements:• Implementation of 5S throughout manufacturing and subsequently providing training and guidance to other managers to allow this to expand company wide.• Consistently maintaining more than 90% on time delivery performance and a lead time of less than 3 weeks on all manufactured products.• Process flow implementation, creating greater than 30% improvement of product throughput in some manufacturing areas without increasing head count. • Creation of quality led team ethic within manufacturing with principle team members who are responsible for individual manufacturing work areas.• Creation of a training matrix and implementing internal and external training courses to enhance and provide a cross functional manufacturing team.• Key involvement in new NPI process to allow manufacturing involvement in new product design and development.• Key involvement in design of a fully Integrated Manufacturing database.• Design and implementation of live daily schedules.• During this period, the company moved from Cambridge to a purpose built facility in Ely. Managed schedules and the move of all of manufacturing to ensure we staged the move with minimal interruption to manufacturing throughput. Responsibilities and Key Achievements:• Development of schedules from being generalised to being structured to rig/sensor requirements on a bi weekly basis.• Implementation of quality circle discussions with QA and calibration/manufacturing.• Creation and development of SOP’s and WI’s for all the various processes within calibration and manufacturing.• Bringing the routings of manufacture and calibration together to marry the departments.• Maintenance of Deputy Head of Laboratory duties.• Introduction of weekly manufacturing meetings with all operational managers.• Restructure of manufacturing department into cells and evaluating efficiencies.• Providing training to team members and other operational department managers.

Responsibilities and Key Achievements:• Completion of stringent UKAS training and supervision to become UKAS approved signatory.• To provide backup to the UKAS Head of Laboratory as well as maintaining company KPI’s for manufactured items requiring calibration prior to shipping.• Completion of all UKAS procedures to a high standard.• Cross referencing internal calibration equipment against UKAS calibrated/approved equipment and providing traceable standards.• Training of staff in UKAS/Calibration procedures.• Cementing UKAS structure required to maintain our traceability.• Carrying out of UKAS audits.

Responsibilities and Key Achievements:• Gaining an understanding of all Michell products.• Successfully learning to build, test and calibrate the full range of Michell product.• Managing tight deadlines and improving throughput from laboratory by 23% over a 12 month period.• Implementation and commissioning of new calibration equipment in house and with customers.• Understanding the schedules and working with colleagues in prioritising workload.• Providing an active fault finding/service function within the manufacturing facility.• Maintaining throughput whilst starting and continuing with UKAS Approved Signatory training.• Being pivotal in feeding information to customers regarding product support.

Responsibilities and Key Achievements:• Recovering customer data from water damaged data loggers.• Software updating and fault finding to component level.• Creation of an in house system of logging field faults on loggers and feeding this back to manufacturing.• Direct communication with customers, providing detailed quotes and cost analysis.• Assisting in providing full technical support to the range of data loggers.• Pre test, repair, post test and completion of customer repairs to a very high standard.• Working alongside development and technical teams on NPI and carrying out test work for them.• Continuing throughput and maintaining a high work ethic working in a busy service environment, whilst on day release to College for further education.
