Served as Dev/Consultant for MI Homes, Ascena Retail Group, A&F, The Gap and OCLCAt MI Homes, I served as UI Developer on the Buyer Portal team. Led the initial development for a complete overhaul of their interactive plat-maps implementation using Google Earth, Google Maps, and React Leaflet. Previously tasked with the construction of MI Homes' brand new 'Buyer Portal', a PWA that allows new home buyers to track and manage the construction of their new home throughout the entire process. Worked daily with React, Redux, Redux-Saga, and React Testing Library. Assisted with the maintenance and further development of a React app embedded in MI Homes' main website that is used to search/display all of their communities and home types for potential buyers. While consulting for The Gap, I served as lead UI developer on POET UI team, tasked with building a new UI for the “POET” & “ENCORE” services which are used to manage/track the logistical data for each of Gap’s automated distribution centers. Built application from the ground up using React, Redux, HTML5, and CSS3. Helped architect complex data-centered front-end solutions/patterns as well as working to ensure test coverage of all UI components, actions, reducers, and helpers was completed through the implementation of React testing tools such as Jest & Enzyme. Collaborated via pair programming to craft clean, semantic solutions for challenging UI requirements including the implementation of custom tables and responsive design Lead development on constructing “GridWrapper”, a flexible React-based UI table solution that could be used to provide every data table in the application with a customizable yet consistent experience for developers and users alike. Constructed the GridWrapper from scratch to support numerous complex functions that would change from page to page. Implemented features including custom cells, nested rows/tables, sorting, searching, filtering, pagination, checkboxes, and exporting to CSV.

A typical day at CSAA had me fulfilling the duties of two different roles. First and foremost I was a full-stack developer and project anchor, which had me lead development teams building everything from design and development tools/standards portals for internal use to consumer facing applications. The project I had spent the longest time working on had been building our "Auto Insurance Quote" application from the ground up. This application is a full stack Javascript project, with React/Redux and Node/Express. Along with the actual implementation, my team and I had made a distinct effort in assuring test coverage for our code using tools like Jasmine, Nock, and WebdriverIO.The second role I took on daily was that of a Process guide on our "Development Experience" team. Being that one of my great passions in the software field is the usage of Extreme Programming methodologies, I was brought in to CSAA to help facilitate and implement our own take on XP called "The Digital Way". As the Process guide, I was tasked with facilitating the implementation of pair programming, test driven development, and balanced teams across all of our product development teams. My typical duties as the Process Guide included leading consultations on the usage of testing tools (specifically Jasmine, Capybara, Selenium) and agile project management tools (Pivotal Tracker), as well as simply pairing with our developers (both junior and senior) to better help them understand the concepts behind what makes for a successful pair. Prior to making the move from working on internal applications, I was the lead developer and anchor for our "Developer Incubator" team which had me taking in junior developers (typically fresh out of a bootcamp) and teaching them our process from the ground up while building our internal portals.
