Currently working as the Test Engineering Manager (in a working capacity) leading a team of 20+ people for the Enphase solar panel microinverter project at the Flex West Columbia site since November of 2022. Helped in the start-up of a new PCBA-to-finished-product production line with customized automation and testing equipment. Currently managing a team supporting production with test equipment maintenance and upgrades, as well as failure analysis of PCBAs and finished products. During my initial time at Flex, I was primarily focused on starting up assembly line test systems and an ongoing reliability testing (ORT) lab for an NDA project concerning an FDA regulated portable electronics product. I conducted IQ/OQ validation of test equipment in accordance with ISO13485 requirements as well as setup and performed reliability testing on product that was generated on the production line to validate the parts and assembly process for the customer.

My work focused on PLC programming for a new large industrial manufacturing plant. This project required extensive work with Rockwell programming software (Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View Studio), Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFDs, ThinManager HMI thin clients, distributed plant-wide networks, Cisco ASA Firewalls, and VMWare vSphere servers hosting a number of virtual machines.

Some of the projects I worked on while at SETi included a new design for the MOCVD reactors used at SETi’s UVLED production facility, an auto-restart unit for RF induction heaters, a thin-film thickness measurement unit, several iterations of complete electronics for portable cell phone disinfection cases, numerous custom LED light modules/assemblies for clients, and both an LED and on-wafer accelerated reliability testing station. I also handled IT duties and became experienced with Network Administration, Active Directory, Server Management, and Desktop Support, due to staffing changes there in October 2017.

I had experience with resident inspection on both long term general aviation airport projects and neighborhood insulation/sound-proofing projects.
