I am a recently graduated Mechanical Engineer from Hope College. I was raised in a family of engineers including my father, Gary, who worked for 20+ years at World Class Prototypes which involves plastic engineering injection mold development. In college, I Interned with Magna International, specifically within their exterior car mirror division, in Holland, Michigan. I continued to work with Magna throughout my senior year of college while completing my senior engineering project. This project entailed developing a newly automated process that measures the curvature radius of an exterior car mirror for a customer's specification. This internship, added on top of the years of experience working in my father's engineering company, has given me a foundation of knowledge of the engineering industry. I look forward to expanding this knowledge throughout my future career.At Hope, I had the opportunity to became proficient in MATLAB, Simulink, Python, Microsoft Office, SolidWorks, and other programs of the same caliber. Hope provided a strong theoretical structure for my engineering education. Thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, control systems, design, etc. were all great classes that laid the foundation for my future career in engineering.I hope to further my engineering expertise with real-life practices and and opportunities to apply my education and hustle to my future workplace.
