Updated Deering Banjo's old system of graphing data by hand to a new system in Excel where data would be entered in a different workbook, then using macros would transfer to a 'dashboard' style visualization using pivot charts to add interactivity with the data. This cut down the waste of countless hours of entering, reentering and hand graphing over 200 different data points every week and added useful functionality such as trendlines, error bars, and data callouts for their leadership team to interact with.Implemented a new R&D userform so that Deering Banjos could easily keep track of the R&D expenditures for tax credit, ensuring that every detail that is required for an R&D tax credit was included in the form

Using my skills in team leadership, I am managing 3 different project teams with local small businesses around San Luis Obispo county. These projects incorporate aspects such as linear programming, data modeling, cost analysis, database development and other Industrial Engineering skillsets. Collaborated in a group of 5 in the development of a database to track the eligibility of divers in the LASD to preform Search and Rescue missions. Using my knowledge in Visual Basic coding, I built a user interface for easy entry and retrieval of training dive information for use by a team with no experience in Excel, this reduced the lead time of determining a potential diver’s eligibility from hours to seconds, as well as the creation of quarterly reports from days to seconds

Created data management tools to assist the vascular graft engineering team to identify potential problems and outliers on the production line. This system allows engineering to determine potential issues with the quality of their product. Previously, to find this data, engineers would have to locate each individual file where data was collected and compile it all manually to find trends in quality and production. Using Visual Basic coding I made a system that automatically located and compiled this data, then created interactive pivot charts to display information in a visual, effective manner.Assisted in the creation of a generalized production tracking system so that all different product lines could collect throughput data in the same way. This reduced training time for operators and allowed each product line to track their throughput and reject data in the same way, making it easier to detect trends in dropping quality or increased rejects to prevent loss of product.
