As Operations Manager, I oversee the Start to Finish Operations, a team of 50+ employees including 11 managers and administration, production planning and logistics staff. I effectively collaborate with the Quality, Engineering and CI Managers to quality assure Global Safety, Right First Time (RFT), Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Capex KPI’s are achieved on time and in full, supporting the 24/5 production of over 100 million pieces a year. In my role, I engage in thedevelopment and implementation of Autonomous Maintenance methodology, empowering machine operators with a mechanical aptitude to follow the Preventative Maintenance Plan and conduct Root Cause Analysis on machine’s and implement solutions. I lead the streamlining and continuous improvement, through Six Sigma and LEAN methodology processes, resulting in record high Delivery in Full and On Time (DIFOT) and Right First Time (RFT). I provide annual budget management of $10,000,000, critically analysing operational and labour expenditure to ensure all expenses remain in line with the budget. My commitment to a zero harm environment drives my attention to detail in performing site safety and incident audits and investigations, applying strong problem-solving skills to determine the root cause and apply robust risk mitigation practices to prevent re-occurrence and ensure compliance with EBA and Fair Work Policy. Notably, I successfully improved yields by 2% by completing projects online start-ups and line waste analysis, as well as established a safety-first culture across the site which now sees the site 2 years LTI free.

In my role as Operations Supervisor, I provided team leadership and people management to 50 production, warehouse, blending supervisors and maintenance fitters, ensuring safety and production compliance was met on a daily basis. I executed the Preventative Maintenance Plan and Automatous Maintenance Schedule across all operators to facilitate a highly efficient working environment. I supported the change management process of an organisational re-structure, providing input and operational support to the hierarchical streamlining while ensuring production output remained onschedule. As a leader, I performed employee rostering, approval of annual and sick leave and ensuring work expenses and balances remained within budget. I developed and implemented the standard operating procedure (SOP), one-point lessons (OPL), quick fix routines (QFR) and work instructions, ensuring all employees were apprised of the procedures, as well as providing training to those who needed reaffirming. I performed human resource initiatives by leading the performancereview meetings with employees, including disciplinary meetings and formal investigations, as well as setting strategies to achieve and exceed personal KPI’s. In addition, I completed staging, returns and job reconciliation, reviewed Bill of Materials (BOM) vs actual and put through the production and blend orders in SAP.

As Manufacturing Shift Manager, I reported directly to the Production Manager, working a rotating shift managing 3 production lines, 15 staff including 2 Line Leaders which would produce up to 400,000 units in a single shift. In my role, I quality assured all staff on each shift complied with workplace health and safety protocols, as well as driving best practice operational equipment effectiveness and yields. I successfully implemented best practice Automatous Maintenancemethodology across the plant, allowing the fitter to work on Preventative Maintenance by moving maintaining the machine from the Maintenance Fitter to the operator. My coordination of the weekly operations roster covered all manufacturing personnel, including external labour hire companies for casual requirements. I applied my commercial mindset in managing the labour budget and ensured all labour costs and production key objectives remained within the cost constraints.Furthermore, I developed, wrote and implemented SOP’s, OPL’s and trained all staff to support compliance, as well as identified root causes and prepared non-conformance reports, shift reports, yield reports and stock takes.

In my role as Production Line Leader, I effectively supervised a high performing team of production machine operators across the Glass and Can production lines, ensuring all safety and operational protocols were adhered to. My role required me to set production strategies, facilitating the achievement of daily production KPI’s across both manufacturing lines to deliver production outcomes for the organization. I completed production line quality checks to support the high-quality delivery of products across the Campari range, as well as monitored V curves and equipment effectiveness reports at the end of each shift, ensuring a high-level accuracy of information.

As an Operations Technician, I safely and proficiently operated all production machines across the site from glass and can fillers, labellers and packing machines. In my role, I applied strong attention to detail and performed quality checks on CO2, Brix, Air, Alcohol, and Seam Checks, as well as employed best practice operating procedures to facilitate the machines running at optimal performance, supporting the achievement of daily KPI’s. To support a safe working environment for all staff, I consistently applied my excellent knowledge of workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
