To oversee the RIBA’s business applications and databases to ensure that services meet business needs across the organisation and are supported by robust policies, processes and systems.• Review all applications (CRM, HR and Finance) landscape to develop and implement an ICT applications and data strategy to integrate applications, exploit the value of its data, manage efficiently and responsibly, and ultimately allow it to build a ‘single view’ of all its members and other customers• Work with external suppliers and stakeholders to specify and manage the procurement and implementation of a new CRM system and reduce the number of legacy applications• Act as the RIBA’s ‘data champion’ to lead the organisation on best practice on data governance, security, management (GDPR) and business intelligence• Work with the digital services team and product owners to understand user needs and develop intuitive digital services, breaking down technical requirements into appropriate pieces, and identifying key requirements for integration with internal and external systems• Ensure new and updated platforms, products and transactions are thoroughly tested for performance, can handle specified load, and can be maintained over the long-term• Work with external suppliers to ensure their system architectures meet the RIBA’s digital standards and are robust, scalable, secure and integrated for a high-quality user experience• Motivate, mentor and line manage Applications team to develop a culture of continuous delivery and improvement, ensuring key systems are regularly analysed, maintained and improved• Manage contractual arrangements ensuring knowledge is effectively transferred and value for money is delivered from the department’s spending• Work with teams across the RIBA to share knowledge, identify and exchange best practice, support adherence to defined standards, and develop cross-departmental collaboration
