I am ecstatic to be a part of the movement building courage, confidence, and character in the next generation of youth. In my role, I support 26 communities in the Boston Metro-West area with recruitment of youth and adult members. In my last professional role, I worked at Wayside Youth & Family Support Network. In my role as a Youth Support Worker, I provide in home & community based therapeutic interventions in both individual and family contexts. I specialize in social-emotional intervention and support. My strengths in this field include DBT & CBT skills to challenge maladaptive thoughts, rapport building with youth, & effectively supporting youth to the journey of self advocacy and empowerment. I am a Summa Cum Laude graduate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Additionally, I have minors in Spanish and Gender Studies. I received the Chancellor's Medal for Diversity and Inclusion for my work toward social justice throughout my career at the university.For my undergraduate practicum work, I was an intern at Wayside Youth and Family Support Network. I also volunteered as a Campus Advocate for Prevention Education as a Peer Educator. I led students and organizations in presentations and workshops for sexual violence prevention and mental health promotion.Additionally, I interned at a primary school in Beasain, Gipuzkoa, Spain. I worked with an English teacher facilitating curriculum for children age four to nine years old. Throughout my college education, I have worked 20-30 hour weeks while having a full time course load. This has taught me a lot about time management, organization, and leadership.
