In a few short months with LOFT I have cultivated a growing client base of repeat customers by embodying the LOFT brand and promoting the diversity of the brand to fit the needs of individual clients. It’s such a great feeling when a customer walks out of the store with a new outfit that fits their personal style and budget, knowing that I’ve had a part in creating an ensemble that they're really excited to wear. As a member of the sales team I consistently meet and exceed weekly store performance targets. I market in-store promotions, store credit cards, and other special offers to increase brand loyalty and store sales.

As an intern in the Legal Department CSAA Insurance Group I spent the summer working on several projects under the Custodian of Records. These projects were related primarily to any claims which were subject to legal actions and a tax audit project, all of which involved sensitive data and files, requiring a high level of confidentiality and compliance with data security policies. During my initial training on the various systems and department’s procedures I identified redundancies in some of the processes and recommended ways to streamline operations which resulted in improved productivity and reduced reliance on paper files. As my internship was coming to a close, I assisted in the training of a newly hired intern to facilitate a seamless transition in the hand-off of the position.

Working off-campus provided me an opportunity to hone my customer service abilities with a consumer clientele. I provided evening coverage and customer relations to guests of the Inns, a 4-site, 32 room collection of properties. In addition to handling check-in/out, reservation support, financial transactions, and general guest inquiries, I was accountable for overseeing the facilities, lock up and closing procedures, and upholding hotel policies.

Humboldt State University, Arcata

In my second year on campus I supported Housing + Dining in the business office and fielded inquiries, questions and concerns from current/future residents through email, phone and in-person visits. I was the first point of contact and the face of Housing + Dining. I assisted the professional staff with calendar organization and relaying messages, ensuring proper escalation of high priority communications.

Humboldt State University, Arcata

Getting involved on campus from the start of my college experience created opportunities for me to connect with my peers and impact the environment in a very positive way. As a Community Advocate within housing I planned and produced events to foster community within the residence halls. I encouraged fellow student engagement through social and educational programming. I was also trained in first responder and disaster preparedness procedures.
