Responsible for the Quality Management and Infrastructure team for a large CAD/CAM software project (50 project team members at 2 locations in Germany and India) – 5 team members on-site and 3 team members off-site in Pune, India.- Built-up and lead a productive Quality Management and Infrastructure team; using SCRUM with regular daily standups and additional technical weekly meetings for knowledge transfer e.g. on test automation – via phone/video conference with off-site team members, and by regularly visiting the off-site location.- Defined and implemented the Quality Management strategy for the project - one of the first software projects at TRUMPF to ever implement an agile development process based on SCRUM:from Unit Test to static code analaysis to automated system tests to integrating the whole build, installation and testing chain into a Continuous Integration (CI) system.- Defined, setup, and configured the project infrastructure from VPN site-to-site connection and Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server (together with IT), JIRA, source control software Perforce, CI build system to the virtual installation and test environment (VMware vCloudDirector).- Initiated and co-ordinated the source control software migration from Subversion (SVN) to Perforce, when this became the TRUMPF company’s new source control software. - Designed and setup a test automation framework for automated UI-based system tests with TestComplete 10. Ensured its seamless integration into the project’s build, virtual test, and installation environment.=> From the start of the project with 0 automated tests, the framework now incorporates over 300 different regression test scenarios, which can be executed at the click of a button.- Introduced and organized regular product testing workshops with participants of the project team and from external departments, such as Service and Support or Training Center for acquiring product feedback as early as possible.

Responsible for the requirement specification, design, implementation, test and delivery as Technical Project Lead and software developer of a Shop Floor Programming software for a newly developed Laser machine with respective software for an international market.- Lead the Shop Floor Programming software project at the Germany site with 3 developers and co-ordinated the planning and execution of required tasks with the German-American development team (software and the new Laser machine).- Designed and developed (C++/C#) the required functionality for programming TruTops Laser machines by refactoring and decoupling machine programming functionality within existing CAD/CAM software to be integrated with a new UI and machine interface at the machine control of the new Laser machine.- Designed and rganized test workshops “live” at the actual machine control hardware with participants from Product Management, Training Center, and Show Room for the new Shop Floor Programming software.- Presented the first version of the Shop Floor Programming software” live” on the new Laser machine together with colleagues from TRUMPF USA (TUS) at the TRUMPF international managing directors’ conference (IGF) in Ditzingen, Germany - ontime and as planned in July 2009. The extremely positive feedback the software received from the market has led to its further use and development for several more TRUMPF Laser machine models until today.

Responsible for requirements, design, implementation, and testing of TRUMPF CAD/CAM software products’ and components’ installation routines. - Designed and implemented a new framework for the installation of CAD/CAM software products with Installshield X and InstallScript. This framework is still used today in several software components’ installers.- Developed and implemented a migration strategy and a new software installation series for merging several CAD/CAM software products into one “product suite” together with two colleagues of the Installation team.- Developed a concept for product language selection together with the development teams and implemented this concept in Perl/Tk to be used within the software installation routine. - Prepared and conducted technical trainings on CAD/CAM software product installation for service representatives of TRUMPF’s subsidiaries as well as customers.- Performed onsite installations and troubleshooting for TRUMPF customers and subsidiaries.- Acted as the team’s direct contact and interface to other departments such as Service and Support, Training Center, Show Room, and Technical Documentation for all matters concerning installation of CAD/CAM software products.
