Lamaar Thomas (April 23, 1990) is originally from the Washington D.C. area. As a senior at Friendly High School in Fort Washington, Maryland, he totaled 1,690 all-purpose yards on his way to being named an All-State selection. Over the course of his high school playing career he racked up 2,623 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns to go along with his 1,209 career receiving yards and nine scores. While with the team, his high school squad went 42-6, won a state title, and he took part in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.Following high school, he selected The Ohio State University, playing two solid seasons before transferring to the University of New Mexico where he was used as a wide-receiver, running back and kick/punt returner. It was during his NFL Pro Day where he caught the attention of numerous scouts when he ran a 4.36 40-yard dash and came in looking very solid on the rest of his drills. Although he went undrafted, he was quickly secured by the pass heavy and speed oriented Denver Broncos where Lamaar studied the position under one of the best QB’s of all time, Peyton Manning. As the 2013 regular season approached, Lamaar Thomas was picked up by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
