Maintaining the brewery at the highest hygiene standards. Packaging beer into cans, kegs or bottles adhering to the packaging schedule requirements for shipments. Ensuring beer is packaged to specific requirements of the order destination. Preparing fermentation vessels and transfer lines for CIP. Setup of filling machines and beer lines for CIP & production. Moving pallets, packaging and product with pallet/forklift truck. Assisting Brewing team where necessary or required. Performing packaging quality checks, such as seam integrity and total package oxygen. Contribute in the creation and updating of SOPs and OPLs. Contributing to BrewDog events and festivals and representing the brewery in public

Calibration, repair and maintenance of Gyroscopic and GWD (Gyro While Drilling) tools. Afore mentioned tools are calibrated using Calibration Stands that can be controlled to move Toolface, Inclination and Azimuth with the use of complex pneumatic systems. Apart from the alignment procedure the calibration is all automated. Direct contact with the tools occur during the maintenance, pre-calibration and repair of the tools. Companies such as Schlumberger, Halliburton, Baker Hughes and Weatherford hire Gyrodata tools for the exploration of oil wells.

Main responsibility of this position was to start, maintain and finish calibration of gyroscopic tools and GWDs. The main pre-requisite for this post was to have a technical mind in order to understand the processed data. The calibrating of the tools is a 9-24 hour process which requires patience and good time management. This job was a part-time position during the hours of 6pm – 6am. Since calibration of tools is a 24 hours process, working during these hours meant I was mainly working on my own and it was essential to focus and demonstrate my ability to deal with problems if within my remit or to recognise when to call the duty person if any errors occurred that I was not capable of remedying.
