With MWH for 25 years, Nancy began her career as a staff hydrogeologist and is currently a principal project manager with a portfolio of over $16M in active task orders with municipal, state, and federal clients.

Nancy supported environmental investigations for various commercial clients in California and Nevada, including regulatory support for mining operations.

Nancy provided geological services to the geotechnical investigation to design foundations and pavement criteria for various municipal, commercial, and residential commercial facilities including site mapping, drilling and sampling, performing laboratory and field testing, specifying geotechnical criteria for foundation and roadway design, and observing construction during placement of fill, pavements, and foundation elements. She also provided geological technical support to the geotechnical investigation to design foundation criteria for an elementary school located adjacent to the Russian River, including site mapping, logging and sampling, geotechnical testing and field monitoring and testing services during construction. Criteria developed included grading designs to build up the grade above the local floodplain elevation and installation of stone columns to address a potential liquefaction risk in the event of an earthquake. In addition, Nancy provided field mapping services, analyzed historical aerial photographs, and assessed coastal erosion potential for several home sites in compliance with California Coastal Commission requirements. She assessed building setbacks and drainage requirements to mitigate coastal erosion.

Nancy provided long term monitoring support for watershed restoration activities after timber harvest activities, including photographing and documenting slope stability and plant establishment within road and culvert removal areas, landfill repairs, and drainage improvements. She mapped large scale landslide in area of old growth redwoods, and assisted with survey of stream profile and cross section to assess changes in sediment transport.
