In my 37 years with WCVB-TV, I have worked in numerous administrative positions, starting out as a part-time clerk/typist for the Personnel department. From there I began picking up hours assisting the Administrative Assistant for the News department.Upon graduation, I secured a full time job with the station still working for both Personnel and News. Later, I became the Administrative Assistant for the Business Manager as well as the Station Manager. I have also been the Administrative Assistant for two General Managers and am now the Administrative Assistant for the Engineering department. I provide administrative support to the Director of Engineering and department, including tasks such as:• working on projects• day-to-day assistance on operational issues and processes• scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, scheduling conference rooms and arrange catering for meetings• arranging travel including air, hotel, car rental and submitting expense reports as requested * Maintain office equipment and supplies

In 2015, a co-worker and I were assigned the task of running WCVB-TV's internship program. We executed a complete overhaul of the intern recruitment process, updating documentation/forms and revamping the placement process within a three month span. We are responsible for recruiting and placing all interns for the station. Our responsibilities include:* Developing and maintaining College/University relationships in various majors to recruit students for academic internships. * Attending career fairs, information sessions, discussion panels, and networking events to inform viable candidates of station wide opportunities here at WCVB. * Working across departments to schedule interviews, providing consistent follow up with supervisors regarding the selection, placement, and processing of interns.* Hosting training sessions, orientations, and evaluations with students and academic advisers.I ran the program on my own from September 2018 to March 2019. At that time the program was given back to the Human Resources department to run.
