I am conducting cancer research using tissue culture and several lab methods including microscopy and data analysis techniques. More specifically, I am investigating the role of telomeres in cellular aging and cancer transformation using super-resolution microscopy (e.g. dSTORM). I established several project collaborations with different institutes and managed multiple projects over the years. I mentored and supervised BSc students in side projects and presented my work at multiple (international) conferences. I presented and participated in the 3 Minute Thesis competition 2017 (see youtube link in the media section).

I design and teach several group fitness classes with the goal to i) make exercise accessible for everyone, ii) help people move pain-free, and iii) improve the overall fitness of my clients. During the classes, I demonstrate multiple exercises to people of various aged and skills levels, and I provide them with proper techniques to minimize injuries. I possess an up-to-date First AID/CPR level C certificate

I taught Biology and Chemistry to high school and college students during private tutor sessions.

I was a teaching assistant in three full-time bachelor (Life Science & Technology) courses: Mathematics, Gene Technology Laboratory, and Molecular Cell Biology Laboratory. I provided support to first and second year undergraduate students in laboratory work and tutor sessions. I also graded projects and exams, and worked together with other TA and professors to improve the quality of the course material.

I conducted cancer research using tissue culture and several methods to investigate protein pathways. More specifically, I identified the role of Bak and Bax in osteosarcoma cell lines and how these proteins are involved in cell proliferation, necrosis and autophagy. I collaborated in a team with master and PhD-students.
