Working on the University's strategic teaching and learning initiative, the Flexible Academic Program, I work collaboratively with a small team of Learning Designers on the design, development and adoption of innovative and flexible solutions which enhance the quality of learning, teaching and assessments across the university.

TOPNZ operates nation-wide as the specialist provider of vocational open and distance learning. As a Principal Learning Designer, I was responsible for providing strategic advice and design consultancy, through critical review and by a learning needs analysis. I led the design and development of pedagogically sound, technology-enabled teaching, learning and assessment experiences for open, distance and flexible learning in educational and commercial settings. I ensured digital content in the portfolio was highly engaging, fit-for-purpose and responsive to market.I identified solutions for effective design and development in learning and assessment materials. Reporting to the Team Lead within the Learning Design and Development Directorate, I have worked closely with commercial partners and clients and at an organisational level with managers, particularly project managers and academic leads to meet strategic objectives.

* Collaborate with university academics with the design of pedagogically sound, 'fit-for-purpose' postgraduate online courses.* Evaluate the need for course revisions for re-delivery by analysing student feedback, aligning outcomes to assessments/learning activities, and plan for the redesign of other course elements to enhance the learning experience and improve results. * Apply Frameworks based on best-practice, assist other Learning Designers with the application of these Frameworks, and assist academics to develop course materials that apply these frameworks.* Co-lead the learning design team by providing support documentation and mentoring others.* Design and develop online courses particularly in the MBA and MEd programs for RMIT, UNSW, and Edith Cowan University.* Assist project managers with the scoping of projects for re-developments, and report on all matters of course design.

Responsible for the design and development of state-wide online units at TAFE Queensland for Cert. IV and Diploma-level courses (equivalent to NZQF Levels 4-6).• Determine course needs and appropriate methods of delivery.• Create storyboards in collaboration with content writers and subject-matter/industry experts.• Create design briefs and specifications using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and work collaboratively with multimedia experts to create interactive web elements using After Effects, Premiere, and Animate.• Contribute to product documentation and timely reporting.

Assisted with the development of a student-centered English language program for Korean freshman students as a course instructor and facilitator. Also contributed to the development of the program by implementing a Learning Management System.Installed Moodle 2.9 on the University server and developed site-wide themes and course templates for all teachers piloting the program.Delivered training to staff through a blended learning program. This involved the provision of regular one-on-one sessions and group training sessions, as well as the development of technical documentation and the creation of a database of online demonstrations.Delivered training to site administrators for more advanced aspects of developing and maintaining a Moodle site for 1,000+ users.Incorporated interactive eLearning activities into the LMS which included SCORM packages and a badge delivery system to enhance student motivation.

Developed course curriculum for Middle and Elementary schools.Designed and co-ordinated English camp programs.Independently taught and co-taugh elementary and middle school english program.

Saint Monicas College is a large coeducational catholic school in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. It attracts a wide range of students from different ethnic backgrounds.I taught in the Humanities and RE faculty. I also:- contributed to curriculum development for all year levels.- designed assessment to suit the needs of students, and reported to parents.- volunteered in a variety of co-curricular activities.
