I've worked in the Restaurant industry for 10 years. In this time, I've started with big-name chains to dip my toe in and see if it was the right career path. From my first day, I knew that cooking was what I wanted to do. Over the years, I've looked at joining establishments that I felt would challenge me on an intellectual and personal level. I am always looking to be a better cook/chef and learn anything I can as that will help me grow in the long run. I've only been a chef once for a couple years and honestly it was intimidating at first, but once I got the hang of it, I knew that was what I was striving to be. During my time at 86 West, I came to a point in my life where I didn't feel there was anything else I could do to learn and grow as I had already climbed as high on the employee ladder as I could. I decided to enroll at Walnut Hill College in September of 2022 to further my understanding of the industry I plan of being a part of until I retire. Once I graduate, I hope to take on what I learned along with my experience and see what the world has to offer.
