I currently work for Hartshorne Volvo as a delivery driver. This involves sorting through all paperwork to ensure that all deliveries are made in a concise and timely manner whilst being as economical as possible. I would use this paperwork to check off all bus and truck parts that would allow me to meet the customers orders and delivery criteria. Additional paper work would need to be completed to coincide with the drivers delivery schedule. Each driver would be responsible for their own van which would need to remain road legal at all times.

At CCS Midlands Limited, I was responsible for liaising with potential customers to discuss their needs and ensure that the company could help with their home improvements needs. Once an agreement had been made that the customer’s needs could be fulfilled, I would proceed with generating 3D drawings of the products using CAD drawing software and create quotations based upon their specifications. If all was agreeable, the customer would place an order which i would then process and manage. At times, I would also be required to converse with customers on a face-to-face basis and promote our products in this way.

At Tile Junction, my main duty was to sell as many tiles as I could for as much profit as I could. Once sales were completed, the necessary paperwork needed to be filled out to ensure that the customer had the correct sales acknowledgement or sales invoice dependent on the type of sale. Everything then needed to be followed up in the process of generating the order with the customer, generating the order of the tiles from our warehouse, arrangement of delivery at time and place to suit the needs of the customer and to the feed all this information into the new computer system.Outside of interaction with customers, side duties included maintaining the cleanliness of the shop floor and the bathroom suites that we sold, maintaining stock levels and maintaining the condition of the warehouse while following the health and safety guidelines of operating heavy duty equipment. If stock levels were too low, I would arrange an order to replenish what was needed.

After gaining successful promotion within the group, I escalated from Sales Advisor to Sales Executive of both new and used cars. I started off as a Trainee but after 3 months, due to being able to sell cars with only minor support at times from my Sales Manager, I was given my wings and classed as a full salesman. I’ve been working under Mazda to sell both franchise and non-franchise cars to a wide variety of customers including those from distant parts of the country. I’m also Motability accredited until the end of 2016. I count my most successful sale to date as a Mazda 3 that I sold to a member of the Royal Air Force Armed Forces while he was still stationed in Afghanistan. We conversed via email throughout the entire process and while I was at it, I managed to sell to him both of our customer care products ( GAP/RTI Insurance and Diamondbrite paint and fabric protection) and also a 3 year service plan for a new car.

At Brindley Garages Group, I work for Mazda, Chevrolet and Honda. My position there is labeled as Sales Support Advisor.During my time there, my primary role included photographing and taking videos of the used cars that were on the pitch and advertising them online on the Brindley, Mazda and Honda websites and also Autotrader to name a few. Outside of that, I would undertake odd jobs such as running cars from our compound just outside of the city centre and from the Vauxhall garage in Cannock, to our showrooms. I would also help organize the pitches, keep the showrooms free of clutter, fuel up customers cars and run cars to customers. I do collect services for both of the dealerships including going to places such as Kettering to collect a Honda Civic Type R Mugen, Grimsby to collect a Honda vehicle and I’ve travelled to London with a special edition Mazda MX-5 to deliver it to a customer. On the odd weekend, I have taken on the roll of sales to help my managers when they’ve been short on staff. Over the time that I’ve been with Brindley, I have worked at various events that have been held within the dealerships.I have taken part in a Honda Exclusive VIP event that was held over the course of 3 days Friday-Saturday and I have also been recently involved in the launch event weekend of the new Mazda 3. Once thing that I do on a regular basis is take customers on a test drive. I’ve been doing it a lot over the past few months and as such, I’ve got used to the way customers interact and I have learnt to relate with customers from my life experiences and also from my experiences with the cars that they are testing. In all, I would be entrusted with in excess of £750,000 worth of vehicle stock at any one time.
