30+ years experience of a wide variety of practical storage and gallery related documentation projects related to the decant and refurbishment of tired old galleries, the relocation of stored collections and the creation of new interim and permanent offsite storage facilities. Research into the evolution of the V&A collections through the historic and often convoluted development of their numbering systems. I have been engaged in practical object marking projects and delivering training in object marking skills to staff at the V&A for 25+ years. Most recently offering object marking training externally through the V&A Learning Academy. Specialties: Museum Object Marking. General knowledge on Indian Arms & Armour, research on the Anglo-Sikh Wars, oriental and Indian artillery, in particular the development of Sikh Artillery in the C18 and C19. This has involved collaborations with the Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson, The Royal Artillery Museum at Woolwich, Maidstone Museum & Art Gallery, and the National Sikh Heritage Museum in Derby.
