Worked as a Research Assistant on project - GPU Based splatting projection for volume renderingI worked with Prof Xia G. from Dept of Computer Science UT Dallas ,Dr Mao from Southwest Medical Center and Zichun Z. Phd Student at UT Dallas on Medical Image processing project.I was primarily responsible for designing and running the deformation algorithm , volume rendering and Voxel projections on GPU using parallel processing algorithms to achieve the desired results.I used CUDA to utilize the full potential of the GPU for programming the work assignment.This is on going research and the current research work includes:- Timing and performance analysis of code path on GPU- Identifying and resolving bottlenecks on parallel computing- GPU memory access patterns and optimization for performance improvements- Designing and implementing different scheduling algorithms on GPU for performance improvements
