Test Management for Platform Smart, planning and consolidating test activities for a comprehensive digital refresh programme for a large client based at Heathrow.The programme is refreshing existing e-commerce websites and re-platforming the systems. There are a number of existing 3rd party solution providers who need to address new and changed interfaces, as well as new 3rd parties who need to be integrated.The development teams are outsourced and in my test management role I am establishing processes and procedures to meet the clients strict internal quality gating milestones. This includes coordination of all internal / external testing activities through to the client's Acceptance sign-off and delivery to production.

Leading a team of testers across multiple Agile scrums to produce/maintain a strategy and implement System, UAT, Automation and Performance testing processes for the programme. The Programme was building an international Affinity e-commerce platform for B2B and B2C businesses with an outsourced development/system test team and an in-house UAT/QA team. Working with diverse technologies (Mainframe, Midrange, Distributed and bespoke 3rd party applications), the environment’s availability to enable business-driven projects to move through the development life cycle through to Live implementation. The focus was on aligning the Test organisations plans with the physical availability of systems.The team’s role included detailed analysis of the business/testing aspirations, influencing the testing strategies, identifying opportunities to amalgamate testing, over-all defect management (including coordinating fix deployments and re-test activities) and code release and deployment coordination.Significant projects included upgrading the Web underlying technologies to IBM Websphere Portal, Process Server and Enterprise Service Bus and the migration of production applications to them. Subsequent developments were built on the new infrastructure which needed to be actively managed to optimise performance and capacity as well as allowing the test community to undertake their testing.
