Digistics is a procurement and multi-temperature distribution business that provides end-to-end supply chain solutions. Their core business is focussed on fast moving consumer goods (FMCG). I was promoted to Business Analyst Manager and tasked with running the business intelligence department and driving continuous improvement throughout the business.***RESPONSIBILITIES***- Creating BI dashboards, running data analytics and generating reports across the business- Drive digital transformation within the transport department- I Manage the national control tower, identifying anomalies and reporting on non-compliance- I manage and drive strategic company projects, including sustainability projects- Collaborate with internal and external customers to analyze functional requirements and propose solutions- Build cost-to-serve models for potential new customers- Transport management, including route optimization, daily vehicle planning and tracking- Reduce operational costs and improve customer service levels by implementing emerging technologies that are aligned with the overall company strategy.***ACHIEVEMENTS***I successfully rolled out the national control tower where all transport operations are monitored centrally. This includes the development and implementation of BI dashboards that track and report on planned vs actual operations.

After graduating, I was employed as a business analyst to play a supporting role to Digistics' core business operations including warehousing and logistics.***RESPONSIBILITIES***- Re-design of existing warehouse layouts to ensure optimal flow and space utilization- Process mapping of new and existing processes- KPI reporting at senior management and executive level- Running strategic routing exercises to ensure continuous improvement of transport operations- Engage with new and existing clients to map out as-is and to be supply chains- Warehouse capacity and inventory management on a national level- Implementation and management of a transport management system, including training- Manage warehouse and transport projects - I managed multiple projects ranging from R500 000 to R45 mil***ACHIEVEMENTS***- I Successfully implemented a transport management system (TMS) for Digistics nationally. Furthermore I have maintained the system for the past 4 years. This includes the creation of training manuals, presenting training sessions, data maintenance, and continuous improvement of the system to keep up with new business requirements.- I successfully managed a warehouse expansion construction project and was able to stay within budget. I sourced and managed contractors, created the project plan, lead project meetings, managed payments, and the actual costs were tracked against the budget and reported accordingly. The total project cost amounted to R45 mil.
