AIESEC is the WORLD's largest youth organization promoting PEACE and INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING and LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT through entrepreneurial university committees and international exchanges. How AIESEC changed my life - see page 2: https://cdn.ymaws.com/www.aieseclife.org/resource/resmgr/Newsletters_Archives2009-10/Job_31164413_Overview_120320.pdf Ken became involved in AIESEC US local committee (LC) at Princeton University and, after a traineeship in Switzerland, he served as local committee president (LCP) there in 1961-62. The following year he founded the LC at the University of Michigan and, after one year as LCP, he chaired the 1964 National AIESEC Conference. He was elected National Committee President of AIESEC US for two terms during 1964-66 and was elected International AIESEC Councilor for several years after that. With a set of coherent strategies, he led AIESEC-US to an increase from 47 to 72 LCs and from 362 to 525 incoming exchanges and an equal number of outgoing exchanges. The total of 1,050 business traineeship exchanges stands as one of AIESEC-US’ best years. From 1966 to 1969, he was an International AIESEC Councilor, was an envoy to Czechoslovakia, Puerto Rico and Yugoslavia, and supported Hungary as well. He attended 13 AI Congresses and PMs and was elected an International Senior Member in 1972. His AIESEC experience changed his life and led directly to his career with NGOs.
