I spearheaded the creation of a new privacy infrastructure and tooling organization in collaboration with Twitter's CISO, CPO, and other key executives. This involved hiring engineers and managers at all levels, designing the organization structure, and launching the vision and roadmap for this new function.Under my leadership, my team implemented auditing infrastructure across Twitter's platform that could save 10s of millions of dollars in platform costs by identifying redundant data and mitigating risks related to GDPR, FTC compliance, and other records management obligations.We also implemented cookies and data deletion compliance infrastructure to ensure user preferences are complied with at the record, file, and dataset levels.To improve business agility, engineering velocity, and compliance enforcement, I introduced asset graph solutions and promoted their use throughout the organization.

I joined Twitter to establish and lead the data management function, collaborating with the Executive Leadership team to define the mission and vision for Twitter Data Management. I built a team from scratch spanning Data Governance, Metadata Data Services, Auditing, and Insights Engineering. I recruited Engineering Managers, Data Managers, and Engineers across all Data Management functions, integrating Data Management across the Twitter data life cycle and Data Platform. I built a team of 35 from scratch.To ensure the success of this new function, I focused on critical areas such as organization alignment, vendor management, build/buy strategy, leadership development, product/engineering roadmap, and operational efficiency. By doing so, we were able to establish a strong foundation for effective Data Management, allowing us to derive valuable insights from data while ensuring its proper governance and use.

As a Senior Director at VISA, I led the Merchant Data Products function, overseeing product feature roadmaps and utilizing data to drive informed decision-making.Under my leadership, I launched several performance improvement initiatives, including launching Merchant Data APIs and implementing machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies to solve transaction disputes and transaction fraud and improve offer execution. These efforts included enabling Visa Local offers on Uber and multiple Merchant Aggregators to run their loyalty offers.Additionally, I oversaw the development of one of the largest Merchant insights and Merchant identity platforms, associated with millions of transactions, and influenced Data Management and Data Stewardship programs. To stay ahead of industry innovation, I led the transition from a legacy IBM DB2 platform to an open-source platform using Hadoop, Spark/Scala, and Java custom UDFs.Furthermore, I leveraged Spark MLib libraries to build innovative machine learning applications, such as Consumer retention and experience models.In addition to these initiatives, I strengthened data partnerships with top US banks, creating reference points for data enrichment and onboarding third-party data providers.
