Teaching and empowering young adults in foster care to develop skills for self sufficiency and success as they transition into adulthood.

Initiated child intakes for the onset of behavioral health services. Conducted an average of 15-20 weekly wellness checks and facilitated weekly Child and Family Team meetings to review clients’ needs, treatment progress, goal attainment, and stability to maintain proper service delivery. Coordinated care for children, youth, and families through conducting a variety of assessments, developing individualized treatment goals based on client’s needs, linking clients and families to community supports and natural resources. Maintained timely documentation and updating of clients’ records for clinically appropriate service provision.

My focus was on commitment in pregnant unmarried cohabitors. I analyzed 110 couple interviews and coded their responses to a commitment scale developed by my research supervisor. Other tasks involved were survey development, reviewing literature, and coding qualitative data developed from a relationship survey conducted in the Fall of 2012 at the University of Arizona.
