Represents the OLC on the commands acquisition strategy board (the Business Management Working Group) and other boards or Councils related to resource and acquisition planning. Reviews draft legislation and formulates legal opinions on sufficiency of legislation and other authorities that are necessary to support the Command mission. Provides general legal advice across the entire spectrum of administrative and civil law to include: civil law (e.g., relations with the host nation of Germany under the NATO SOFA), inter- and intra-Agency memoranda of agreement or understanding, investigations, review of U.S. Africa Command Instructions and Directives, military airlift issues (MILAIR) and labor law.
