Responsible for the internal and external communications for the Northwest Sportfishing Industry Association. Worked as a contractor through CVL Communications on a part-time basis. During my tenure, I was able to update and redesign the Wilsonville Area Chamber of Commerce's weekly newsletter through Constant Contact. I also created engaging slides for the front page of the chamber's website using Adobe Photoshop. I generated additional revenue to the chamber through a redesign of the quarterly dining guide, shooting the cover photo, and selling two ads into the publication to offset printing costs. I also acted as a advisor to the chamber's board of directors on public and government affairs issues, and worked with local area businesses on media plans. During my time at the chamber I was able to work with the local press to make sure the chamber and its members where focused on the in weekly newspaper each issue and also worked with regional press about bigger issues.I also spearheaded a group called Manufacture Action and Growth Network where the chamber was able to get half of the manufacturers in Wilsonville to attend seminars on topics that could help their businesses. In addtion, I also assisted in booking speakers for the chamber's monthly luncheons and did some limited event management for chamber events. I was also the staff photographer, doing head shots for the board, event pictures and coordinated content for the chamber's annual directory.

Responsible for writing, photography and planning the content for a weekly paper in Silverton, OR. The coverage area is Silverton, Mount Angel and Scotts Mills Oregon. I was responsible for all government, schools, crime, fire, business and feature stories for the paper.

Worked for a number of clients including the Statesman Journal, The Silverton Appeal-Tribune, The Stayton Mail, The Columbian and Oregon.com finding story ideas, writing stories and taking photographs.

Put together advertising special sections including Senior Life, Women in Business, Oregon Kid’s Guide and others. Wrote a daily column for the front of the classified advertising. Was responsible for content, design and photography for sections.
