-Develop and administer athletic programs throughout the city of Brooklyn Center.-Create new youth athletic programs based on the the community's needs.-Hire, train, and supervisor the full-time and part-time customer service community center staff.-Oversees and manages the administrative operations of the Recreation and the community center office. -Coordinates communications, marketing and program assessments. -Coordinates park, facilities, ball field rentals and fees.

-Plan, promote and implement youth sporting league, tournaments, clinics, and events through Minnesota and boarding states. -Recruit teams and individuals to participate in programs by using creative marketing techniques and in-person meetings. -Supervise, hire, and train full-time staff, interns, and part-time staff.-Recruit and train volunteer groups to host events. -Prepare and manage budgets and marketing plans for all programs in the department. -Implement and evaluate new programs. -Create printed and online publications, manuals, handbooks and articles for leagues, clinics, camps and tournaments. -Direct, assist and manage event volunteers, coaches, association presidents and directors. -Serve as liaison and on-call contact for paid tournament staff, coordinating and supervising every facet of invitationals, national qualifying events, state tournaments and national events. -Produce and administer information presentations to prospective communities/associations and/or at league coaches’ meetings, scheduling and informational sessions, workshops and coaches’/umpire training clinics.

-Expanded the Fit Kids Club program by nearly triple the amount of participants in two year by advertising, developing staff, and changing the hours of the program. -Oversee hockey tournaments and high school hockey games by ensuring ticket sales, signage, staff and volunteers, concessions, locker room assignments, game times, and all other event needs are met. -Supervise more than 15 part-time staff by creating daily assignments for each staff member to follow, continually train staff and develop staff schedules. -Enhance daily operations by continually improving guidelines for the patrons and the staff. -Manage all areas within community center such as youth programs, subsidized memberships, customer service, vending supplies and transactions, hockey tournaments, training and the daily cash flow.

-Provide direct supervision for over 30 teens between the ages of 13 to 15 year olds who participate in our Leaders in Training program. -Screen, interview, hire, and train all program participants to be leaders at summer programs such as playground camps, tennis camps, golf camps, adaptive camps, swimming lessons and community involvement projects. -Design program activities that combine fun with learning by having Fun Fridays and Mandatory Meetings that teach the participants valuable life skills. -Prepare the program budget, monitor each participant’s time and stipends, and requisition the necessary materials to successfully run the program. -Planned various special events: recruit and train volunteers for 4th of July Celebration, secure entertainment for Pink Heals Tour and create a soccer tournament for International Festival.-Coordinated various aspects of different recreation programs such as weekly preparation for Summer Playground Camps, daily activities at Safety Camp, and preparing the budget and monitoring the expenditures and revenue for In/Out and About Camp. -Improved program standards, best practices and overall quality, providing feedback to change events including Safety Camp and 4th of July Celebration. -Lowering program costs through donations and sponsorships, including securing free entertainment for the Pink Heals Tour and International Festival. -Supervised over 70 part-time staff, volunteers, and Leaders in Training participants, coordinating staff meetings and daily assignment. -Implemented new programs such as a quick reference game guide and a rewards program to improve staff efficiency.

-Develop weekly lesson plans and coaches’ assignments. -Direct instructors and children in the fundamentals of sports: basketball, football, hockey, t-ball, soccer.-Oversee all aspects of community events including: set up, take down and event activities. -Demonstrate an energetic and positive attitude.
