• Lead governance secretariat to the Society's Human Rights Committee, European Union Committee, International Affairs Committee and Wills and Equity Committee.
• Liaising with office-holders, meeting chairs and policy and other colleagues on the preparation and presentation of papers.
• Ensuring that all committee and non-elected board appointments made by the Society are completed through a process which promotes equality and diversity.
• Advising on good governance.
• Producing accurate and concise minutes, post-meeting reports, preparing action sheets after meetings and tracking actions taken.
• Scheduling and making all necessary arrangements for meetings of boards and/or committees as may be allocated.

• Preparing material to support our Ministers, Chief Executive and other senior leaders with attendance at Estimates and Annual Review select committee hearings.
• Preparing monthly and quarterly performance reports for a wide range of audiences, including the Strategic Leadership Team and the Minister of Justice.
• Presenting to Ministry governance committees monthly on the Ministry’s strategic performance.
• Supporting the four-year planning, business planning and annual reporting processes.
• Supporting the development of external organisational performance measures.
• Maintaining effective relationships with business groups across the Ministry.

• Responding to requests from legally aided people, their lawyers, conveyancing solicitors and other government departments across the justice sector.
• Assessing write-off applications and composing decision letters.
• Making decisions on payment obligations on a case by case basis.
• Research and investigation into the likelihood of recovery.
• Ability to process legal documentation (such as power of attorney documents, trust deeds, land charges, security documentation and various court-imposed orders).
