I was an infantryman squad leader. I was in charge of 12 Marines in my platoon. My duties were to make sure that their gear was always ready, in charge of teaching classes, and in charge of passing down information to them from the higher echelon. I received extensive training in leadership, ethics, commitment, dedication, loyalty, goal setting and accomplishment. I worked successfully with members of my unit as well as other nation’s marines. I learned to communicate effectively without knowing foreign languages to successfully accomplish every joint mission assigned. I was also responsible for educating the younger Marines on discipline, Marine knowledge, and leadership.

I was an inside sales rep for Verizon FIOS systems. I was a continually high performer where I ranked in the top 10 (out of 300) in sales for seven straight months. I also ranked in the top 5 in the nation five times, reaching number 1 once. My job was to speak to customers and persuade them to purchase the Verizon Fios system setup with included tv, phone, and internet. I was very good at my job.
