Part of my responsibilities included emailing administrative and student clients regarding event times and information pertinent to the audio visual staff. Delegating and assigning available technicians to weekly events. Preparing auditorium or outdoor venue with public address system, audio equipment, lighting fixtures, projector and computer access if required. Operate audio and lighting systems during events and troubleshooting technical issues or customer concerns throughout event time. Maintaining cleanliness and safety procedures to ensure the protection of students, staff, and administrative faculty.

As part of my internship, I was responsible for loading in and assembling artist or band audio, video, lighting, and staging under the coordination of road crew's technicians. I was taught fundamentals of PA systems, running audio, video, and Ethernet cables on and off stage, safely securing cables, truss, lighting fixtures, and properly testing communication links between spotlight operators and front of house. I was also expected to maintain cleanliness of backstage walkways, stage floor, and assisting green room hospitality. Loading out artist or bands from venue after event and preparing venue for next event by cleaning stage floor and green room. Strike platforms, lighting fixtures, audio and lighting cables, and spotlights if operated during event.

My role at the House of Blues Anaheim as a Box Office Attendant included customer service, financial and cash handling, and administrative duties. Customer service responsibilities were assisting in-person and over the phone questions about upcoming concerts, venue safety and guidelines, facilitating show will-call and guest list, and troubleshooting issues related to guest accounts and concert entry. Financial and cash handling responsibilities included financial transaction processing, cash drawers and ticket stock, assisting in financial reports, and upselling premium ticket sales to guests. Administrative duties included opening and closing procedures, office supply and ticket stock inventory, updating call logs and office spreadsheets, and assisting manager and supervisors with any tasks that are requested from staff.
