My key role is using my 25 years in asset management experience and management of maintaining our assets to assure and improve our asset management in the organisation and comply with our asset management ISO 55000 accreditation and beyond. My main role is continuous improvement programs to establish the organisation as World leaders in asset management and flood protection.I have over 25 years of experience at the Environment Agency, initially in the very core of maintenance business working on the ground to construct and maintain assets. Development and education helped me gain HNC in Civil Engineering and progress to Constructing building, supervising as a senior user on many flood risk projects. Continued improvement and Progression lead to team leading managing and maintaining the flood defences from the Scottish Borders to the River Humber with a team of project managers and asset professionals. My emergency response development requires to perform an Area Base Controller across the area to ensure our emergency response during series environmental and flooding incidents is coordinated to enhance our reputation and protect the public in the best way possible. This includes managing the incident room during events and looking after every body’s wellbeing during the events. Liaising with core Category one responders such as the police and fire brigade to ensure a joined up approach to incident management.NEBOSH qualified and dedicated to Health, safety and wellbeing professional, chairing our Health and Safety group to successfully raise awareness of to keep our staff safe at work. Currently supporting the national groups to mange and raise awareness of key issues within the business.IAM certificate in asset managementIAM Diploma In Asset Management HNC civil Engineering gained at Newcastle College.
