Lead a mixed internal and external development team on a 2 year project in the creation of a custom enterprise application using RubyOnRails and the SCRUM agile methodology. Major responsibilities of the project included: * identifying business requirements with users * implementing the prioritized user stories in 2 week sprints * facilitating development team retrospectives after each sprint which resulted in many process improvements * creation of custom data migration system from the existing enterprise application * coordinating the work of a 8 person internal development team with a 4 person remote development team * coordinating the continuous QA of the system with a dedicated team beginning 6 months prior to rollout * design of the hardware and network requirements for the new application * supervising the migration and switchover from the previous applicationAfter rollout, the team continued to operate in 2 week sprints to improve the application for the company. Primary responsibility was design/development of the University Bookstore and the creation of an internal web based quote management system using PHP. This system included the maintaining customer and product information, integration with the PDFlib library for generating PDF documents and the university fax system for sending the quotes to customers. Additionally, I assisted in sales and support for Apple and Windows clone machines for staff and students of the university
