Etap North Sea

Started out as the sole inspector on the BP Etap installation.My duties included facilitating all relevant services for pipework and vessel inspection including reinstatement.I now supervise a team of inspectors on the platform via onshore management support. I also cover offshore inspection engineer duties as required.I liaise with the client's HS&E advisor and BP OTL on a daily basis.

Aberdeen

Worked since 1989 through company buy out since April 1989 until nowVarious contracts both onshore and offshore

Total St Fergus Terminal.

I was part of the inspection team surveying pipework and carrying out turnaround inspections during plant shut downs.

Bp Sullom Voe, Shetland Isles.

Domiciled on the Island, I was part of a two man inspection team working for BP assisting their plant inspection engineers.Other duties included, internal and external vessel inspection, surveying jetty pipework oil and gas arms connecting to seafaring tankers. I was heavily involved with the Schiehallion project during the later part of my time there.

Shell Shearwater North Sea.

I was part of a 2 man team carrying out survey work on a high pressure high temperature carbon steel line which had been been previously a Duplex Line.At this time vessels were requiring their first inspection having been in production for 3 years.The SIE required certain vessels and Pipe work to be inspected after this time.

Bridge Of Don, Aberdeen

I commenced training as an NDT technician at OIS assisting base field and offshore technicians.Once able, I started offshore work mainly on BP Forties Field - FALPS project - Forties Artificial Lift Project. I also carried out inspections once trained at the Aberdeen welding facilities throughout the city.
