I was promoted to this position as a result of my continued demonstrated leadership skills as an engineer within this team over the preceding years. As the Team Leader of Technical Services, Powerplant Engineering, I provided leadership and guidance to the Powerplant team members for the configuration management of the Engines & APU’s and related systems.

• As a Technical Services/Powerplant Engineer, I was responsible for providing advice and instruction to the airline operation on maintenance, servicing and complex technical issues, utilising computerised maintenance.

• Boeing B777: GE GE90-115B & Honeywell 331-500B.
• Airbus A330: Rolls-Royce Trent 700 & Honeywell 331-350C.

• As a Technical support Engineer, I provided support to Virgin Blue Maintenance Watch Engineers, that provided ‘triage technical support’ to both pilots and engineers for airline operations. My responsibilities included;
• Management of long-term Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events.
• Monitoring recurrent defects to identify preventative actions.
• Delivering detailed technical research.
• Coordinating with design engineers and OEM’s for aircraft repairs, modifications and support with technical issues.
• On-site airline Technical Representative for Heavy Maintenance activity.

While in the role of Systems of Maintenance Engineer, I ensured the Virgin Blue Airlines, aircraft System of Maintenance was kept up-to-date with data from the Aircraft Manufacturer MPD & MRB, Regulatory Authorities, Vendors and Technical Services / Fleet Engineers.This included ensuring maintenance tasks were correctly entered in the TRAX Maintenance.

During my time with Pacific Crown Aviation, it was operating as the only helicopter service on the Fiji Islands. This role required me to coordinate the maintenance management and control of a long-established helicopter operation, by providing leadership, training and support to a team of (Fijian & Indo-Fijian) local staff. Supporting the sister company.

As the Chief Engineer with NAH, I coordinated the maintenance management and control of a large fleet of company helicopters at bases throughout remote Northern Australia. Providing leadership and training to a team of engineering staff across 2 bases, I oversaw the operations in a senior managerial role at the company’s main headquarters in Katherine NT.I.
