Peter has over 20 years of experience as a consultant ecologist and researcher. During this time he has undertaken work for clients including the Department for the Environment, Natural England, the Environment Agency, Local Authorities and numerous private sector organisations. He regularly works on large scale development projects, and has significant experience project managing schemes with the potential to impact upon European Sites (Special Protections Areas and Special Areas for Conservation).Specialties: Peter has wide ranging ecological expertise. He is one of the UK's leading bat consultants, provides professional training with regard to bat ecology, is heavily involved in bat research and regularly devises bat mitigation and compensation schemes. He is also a very accomplished botanist, being particularly expert in urban plant communities. He has conducted surveys for numerous other protected species and has a particular interest in habitat management and restoration. He is also a regular expert witness at public inquiry.
