Phil is an Environmental Sustainability leader with more than twenty five years experience of delivering complex projects and change management programmes for global clients across a range of industries. He founded Consciam in 2015 to help organisations become more conscious of their impacts and help them to do less bad and more good - to deliver net impact approaches. Consciam has worked with a diverse range of clients, from global and FTSE-listed businesses to smaller companies, local government and charities, and is proud to have made a difference. Phil is determined via Consciam to help organisations focus on sustainability in a way which enables them to develop and grow as well as reduce their environmental impacts. After graduating with an honours degree in Environmental Studies, Phil embarked on a career in industry, working for specialist consulting and research companies in the water industry and IT sectors. As Head of Environmental Sustainability for Capgemini UK, Phil was responsible for setting environmental strategy including Net Positive ambition, delivering performance improvement and ensuring environmental compliance.Phil has a life-long love and respect for the environment, and is at his happiest outdoors, whatever the weather, most likely with his chocolate Labrador in tow. Phil was shortlisted for Sustainability Professional of the Year in the 2015 edie Sustainability Leaders awards.

He was certified under the Capgemini Engagement Manager Programme, benefiting from extensive training in both project management methods and principles, including integration of offshore development teams and leadership. Phil was also a mentor to junior staff.Selected project:Delivered a new internet and intranet based software and infrastructure solution in support of a major, Government revenue generating campaign. The project had an extremely aggressive timescale with hard stop dates and frequent media coverage of the campaign. Replaced the existing Project Manager two months into the project. Re-planned delivery and rebuilt client relationship, forging a strong and positive working relationship and obtaining very positive feedback from client at project and board levels. Responsible for more than 2,500 man-days of effort, delivered through direct and indirect project teams and multiple third parties. Managed the contracting process and a multi-million pound budget. Ensured that all teams bought into the aggressive plans and then delivered against them - the service was delivered in line with client marketing in national press. -
