TECHLED is an Australian national network & community of Tech Leaders. Micro-conferences have been organised for this community in multiple Australian States & Territories since 2009. In Sydney, the Sydney IT Managers community called SITMan has almost 2,000 members who are all Technology Leaders. These leaders have been meeting regularly to share experiences; knowledge and expertise with each other since 2009.MITMan in Melbourne; BITMan in Brisbane; PITMan in Perth; and the tongue twisting ACT ICT in Canberra have similarly impressive membership with members meeting in each City on number of occasions.Moving to a national identity of Technology Leaders, all groups and events were rebranded to TECHLED, and the events adopted a more agile format, with short/sharp lightening presentations from 3 speakers within 1 hour, followed by at least one more hour of community networking.TECHLED has developed from a small group of IT Managers networking regularly, to a national association focused on social learning, peer support, and providing word of mouth marketing and community marketing for ICT vendors who have interesting stories to share.
