Designed and implemented Spark application to determine Samsung Smart TV Application usage statistics using logs. Coded ETL jobs in Spark/Scala to load logs from AWS S3, transform and reload to AWS Redshift.Other projects included developing JEE/Servlet based reverse proxy for all incoming requests from Samsung Smart TVs called Open API Service Bus (OSB). Also developed a web portal for registration of Smart services in OSB.Other projects during my tenure included setting up a 5-node Hadoop cluster and developing a C# WPF based WPF app to control Samsung video wall (multiple Samsung TVs setup in 2x2 or 3x3 as a single unit on a wall for larger display).

Worked as software developer on various projects for HSBC Compliance and Discover Cards. As a fresher then, mainly worked on Java and Swing for desktop app (ORION) meant for Discover cards' customer care representatives.Main responsibility was to fix issues in ORION and implementing upgrades for its better functioning.Other responsibilities included identifying and deprecating legacy COBOL jobs no longer needed in the system, thus saving IBM CPU cycles cost.

Undertook above mentioned internship program within the IT wing of Standard Chartered Bank. Familiarized self with basic Business and Technical aspects behind functioning of a major financial organization. Objective was to understand and implement Server-Cluster architecture using Windows 2003 Server, and was carried out successfully under senior supervision.
