The most fun part of every job I've had has always been the elements of communication. Teaching both clients and trainee hires, meeting with consumers, and interacting with coworkers in cross-team collaborations. It's a great feeling learning new things about the people you work with and the people you work for. At the end of the day, advertising is a similar process: learning about your consumer base, and then communicating information effectively to them.In my time at SDSU, I learned the importance of understanding an audience, and had been using that through my career running promotions for radio and television stations in the San Diego area. Through my work with the KFMB, MAX-FM and 1090-AM stations, I began understanding that importance of communication and clear messaging, and then was able to build on that when I moved into the world of television, working for NBC7 in 2017.My goal is to expand upon these ideals into the world of advertising, using my experience and passion for learning about people to communicate more effectively with them, building up on the relationship between consumer and product.
