As a member of the Enterprise Cybersecurity Internal Threat team, my focus was the Enterprise-wide secure migration to Office 365, Security Reporting & Analytics including User Behavior Analytics (UBA), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls and policies, and automation of security controls and infrastructure.In the Infrastructure Security group, I held a lead role in the Data Discovery Program, collaborating with a cross-organizational team to create and maintain a large data warehouse to… Show more As a member of the Enterprise Cybersecurity Internal Threat team, my focus was the Enterprise-wide secure migration to Office 365, Security Reporting & Analytics including User Behavior Analytics (UBA), Data Loss Prevention (DLP) controls and policies, and automation of security controls and infrastructure.In the Infrastructure Security group, I held a lead role in the Data Discovery Program, collaborating with a cross-organizational team to create and maintain a large data warehouse to inventory and audit sensitive content across the firm's tens of millions of office documents using CA DataMinder for Data Discovery and Varonis DatAdvantage for Ownership & Privilege Management. The scope was enterprise-wide, spanning thousands of Windows file servers and appliances storing hundreds of terabytes of office documents. Activities include:Construction of a data warehouse using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and SSIS to perform large scale ETL against the databases of several commercial security products in use at Fidelity into central reporting database.Construction of database views for cube generation, used in the enterprise security dashboard to facilitate remediation by content owners. In the course of this work the team secured millions of sensitive documents, reduced the risk of data loss and avoided costly SEC and HIPAA violations.In addition to the Data Discovery Program, I led the Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Program at Fidelity from 2009 through 2015. Highlights include the deployment of McAfee Enterprise DLP and Device Control across 70,000 endpoints, including designing, testing and implementing numerous Fidelity-specific DLP policies and document classification rules. In the Internet Web Services group, I managed 12 senior web engineers who provided Unix-based web hosting services in the Fidelity firewall. This internal cloud offering provided a hardened, high availability platform for 450 customer-facing web sites and applications, seamlessly balanced across Fidelity's 3 US data centers. This offered business units dramatically reduced cost and complexity in the deployment of highly available (99.999%) customer facing Internet web sites.I led a team of… Show more In the Internet Web Services group, I managed 12 senior web engineers who provided Unix-based web hosting services in the Fidelity firewall. This EMC Documentum based platform is still being used by 40,000 Fidelity associates, across the enterprise. The team was tasked with setting up a shared environment and supporting multiple business units in the conversion of numerous legacy document repositories and document management applications. This environment helped save the firm millions of dollars and was built on top of several existing EI service offerings: - Shared Unix servers, - IBM WebSphere services, - Oracle database services, - SiteMinder single sign-on, - BigIP and 3DNS load balancing & high availability services, and - Several enterprise monitoring services.
